The point is

that the club, until the day before yesterday, were adamantly opposed to taking on ANY debt. Indeed they have focussed on repaying debt, including to the major shareholders. Something must have gone very wrong with the stewardship of the club for such a dramatic u-turn to take place. So it seems to be that Jim was, in part, echoing the oft repeated views of Balls & Stone.
