Agree with these points to an extent....but

I stick with my view that if he was of any real quality then Boro (who are no mugs) wouldn't be letting him go especially to a side who ought to have been a promotion rival. So have to assume he doesn't give them anything they don't already have - better - in their existing squad.

As for the points that we have let Maddison, Godfrey, Morris etc go on loan they are clearly young players getting a loan for development purposes (Kane came to us - Beckham went to Preston etc). I can't see how a loan from a peer club can benefit us. Ashley Fletcher, if you come here please prove me wrong. I will be happy to grovel if you can get ten or so goals during the rest of the season.
