...to trial a singing section, but that creates a third unofficial standing section, so the SAG have issue with that also.

The real problem here is that no matter what action is taken, some people will be pissed off.

The most logical solution is to make one area Standing, giving people the choice. The only area big enough to cater for the demand to stand is the Barclay Lower and logistically, with the amount of people that already stand in that area that is the area that would need the least upheaval.

I fully expect it to be a designated standing area within the next few years, and people in the snakepit will be asked to move over to it or sit down too.

At the moment the argument will always be "but the Barclay are standing", but if you make that a permitted option to fans when they buy tickets, then there is no real argument for people to remain stood.
