While I have every respect for all the points of view expressed here

ALL of them, every single one, it’s going to be the death of humour if nobody ever transgresses the boundaries of taste. It was a simple, fairly basic, play on words, not a suggestion or instruction. Saying something that others may find (possibly) shocking as a fake misunderstanding is the base of a hell of a lot of jokes.

Not the greatest joke in the world but (to my mind) if we apply standards of taste to everything written here we might as well pack up and go home.
