Particularly when that is the general consensus amongst our fan base.

Reasonable enough player over a decent period for us, never been great defensively to be honest although his performances under Lambert first time around in the premier league were perhaps the best example of how lambert got players to play at a level that previously nobody thought they were capable.

Good pro, good role model, seems to like working with young players and be a decent bloke and hence I think good coach material - I will praise him all day long for that side of things but players are ultimately judged on their performances on the pitch and they have been substandard for quite a while now.
