My memory on prescriptive rights is hazy but i think it would be your problem

if you want to rely on the rights to prevent them from removing the tank or blocking off the foul drains etc (i.e. get an injunction).

You usually just need a stat dec from someone who has known the property for over 20 years or in the absence of that whatever evidence you can get (e.g. estate agents particulars, title docs).
