I agree with your view that it felt like a set up episode for the exciting-last-but-one of the series. I also agree that the plot seems to be racing ahead and making things happen a little too conveniently.

However I'm still really enjoying this series. Davos was fab this episode and I'm glad he's found Gendry. I'd like to think that Dandy is still on the side of logic rather than madness but I can see how you can interpret it differently.
