One other thought (spoilz)

Though the show is increasingly known for spectacle and CGI, some of the very best scenes have been dialogues involving Jaime: with Brienne in the bath, with Edmure in the tent, with Tyrion in the dragon crypts, with Olenna in Highgarden, with Cersei several times. Just goes to show how very far great acting can carry a story. Nikolai Coster-Waldau(sp??) has done an outstanding job with that character despite some indifferent writing in places (his motivation seems to swing wildly season to season but that's the direction not the actor).

I'd sooner have more story and fewer CGI bits but I'm doubtless in a minority by this point.
