Perhaps offer your kids somewhere better to go?

This place in Valencia is utter brill. Can spend a whole day there, lots for kids to learn. It is also cheap to get to Valencia, train goes direct from the airport to the city centre, no need to hire a car, posh hotels are cheap there too:
