But if they are convinced he's the right man for the job then they should still be convinced of that in a year's time - even if we are sitting thirteenth.
He must be given the authority, and the time, to turn round the smug self satisfied amateurish culture of the football club.
Hopefully he'll join the board at some point. He'd bring infinitely more than Stephen Fry did. IMO the ability to tell unfunny knob jokes should never be a consideration again.
