I've had them a few times, very tasty but a pain to eat with all the bones

it's fiddly getting all the meat off them.

My missus' mum even gave us some whole ones to gnaw on the 12 hours bus journey out of the mountains last time

It's also slightly unnerving that they always serve them whole on your plate - to prove you're not eating a big rat
