with respect i beg to differ

Long story short but when my brother (ex army) was in the final stages of his life last year a convicted IRA man and his family cared for him like he was one of their family. Both of them were aware of their respective history but it was never mentioned. The family visited him every day in the hospice, ran his errands, washed him, laughed and cried with him and loved him.

No good comes from isolating oneself in the dark times of the past, it really doesn't. Real good comes from building bridges, or at the very least in trying to.
