While I've enjoyed his performances, he's not the most refined left back.

I don't get all the "too good for us" stuff. His touch isn't as good as it could be, his penalty area defending is robust bordering on reckless (no idea how Ipswich didn't get a penalty on Sunday), and he does make errors, like all players. However he plays as if he's enjoying himself, seems a good team player and has made a real positive difference so long may it continue. If he's happy here he may give it a season, who knows?
