Have you considered the Martin Lewis method.

Open up an new account (savings or an isa etc) and pay yourself the money each month. This way if you needif for your Fenton you can us it towards the vet bills and if you don't need to use it you still have it in the bank so to speak.

Obviously this isn't a full proof method as the vet bills may be more than you have saved but at least you will still have it if your fenton remains fit and well.
