I read something quite interesting about the Muslim ban today

and I am not particularly defending Trump here as I think he's a bit of a tw*t who is probably going to make the world more dangerous and is implementing things in a very clumsy way but did you know that the "Executive Order" in question does not name any of the countries subject to the 90 day "ban" other than Syria but rather applies the restrictions to 6 "countries of concern" identified by the Obama administration (in a 2015 Act) and in respect of which there are already quite significant restrictions in place in respect of VISAs and immigration because the countries in question do not allow sufficient information/intelligence to enable vetting of potential immigrants from them.

I find it quite interesting that most of us who rely on the media for our information on subjects such as this would not be aware of this. Doesn't make the ban right but does apply a bit of context.
