I love a bit of alt-history. My favourite was Resistance by Owen Sheers, the poet (you can

tell he is by the way he writes). I love Sansom's Shardlake books but thought Dominion took an age to get going.

Fatherland is excellent, SS-GB too. Afrika Reich by Guy Saville is pretty good.

I'll give Roth a go thanks.
