Books. Do yourself some alt-history. Now that the oven enthusiasts are in charge in the US, have a read of how people thought it might have went, post 1939/45, had things gone differently.
Philip Roth - The Plot Against America. The conceit is that imagine that Charles Lindbergh (chum of Hitler, bigly appeaser) had become President in 1940 instead of Franklin D Roosevelt. There is genuine heartfelt incendiary anger in Roth's writing in parts. It's an incredible book.
CJ Samson - Dominion. Imagine that Lord Halifax (Britain's cheif appeaser) had become prime minister after Chamberlain, instead of Churchill. Similar, obviously, in concept to Roth's but a very different treatment.
Then there's others I haven't read - Philip K Dick's The Man In The High Castle, Robert Harris's Fatherland, Len Deighton's SS-GB.
