Us.Recruitment could definitively have been better but i don't think it's been anywhere near as bad as people make out.I'd say though they we've been criminally negligent in not getting in quality centre halves for a good 3 years.
Centre forward has obviously been a big problem too but then I think it is for most clubs, let's just have a rethink of some of the names we were linked with in the last few years (since lambo got us back up anyway).Quagliarella, Biglia, Alderweireld etc, decent players that were identified. Now, I've seen our scouting network continually flagged off on here but if we've identified decent players you then have to realise that we're competing with more established clubs with greater resources for the same players so I think you have to separate the scouting and recruitment issues.I haven't said alot on us this year as in the i haven't seen us alot but fwiw an (imo) isn't getting enough out of a good squad, he also seems to be one of these unreasonably stubborn managers as not playing canos or pritchard seems ridiculous on the face of it and the Russell Martin issue has gone on for far too long, lovely bloke but not a top player , and I've seen enough of him to make a decent judgement!
