Spaniels are nice dogs. I think springers are more hyper but not entirely
sure. I know two people with really nice cocker spaniels and they take them with them to pubs, hotels etc and don't take up the entire boot of the car either!
I guess like all breeds though you can get naughty/hyper ones or good/calm ones depending on the heritage!
I found a breed a while back that was like a miniature Labrador (like a labrador that stopped growing at about 6 months) but can't remember what it was called. The problem with some of these new designer breeds though is that you can never be quite sure about the temperament.
