getting elected isn't really his job

his job is to represent the interests of the Labour party membership, who voted him in with a large majority.

If that gains enough popular support to get elected, then it's great. But he certainly shouldn't be shifting his ideolgy and views on the basis to win an election - even if it means disenfranchising the members of the party he represents. Particularly so when the consensus amongst the British public is so far to the right.

If the Blairite MPs and other new 'labour' voters don't agree with his policies; then perhaps they should find a party more aligned with their views. Rather than trying to oppose the wish for a more socialist altenative, that was adovacted by the majority of party members in choosing Corbyn.
