The thing is though that..

just today the statistics have been released that show our population increased by over 500,000 last year. That's not all immigration (around 170,000 more births than deaths) but obviously a large chunk of it is and I just don't see how that is sustainable long term if we want to maintain our quality of life.

How do we reduce these sorts of levels of immigration and population growth if we cannot ever have any restrictions on freedom of movement?
