What's your budget?

is the first question anyone will ask you.
Sounds like you need a relatively basic machine though, so have a read of "best 10 laptops under 400 quid" or whatever your budget is, then read some reviews on Amazon or other sites.

Last one I bought was an Acer for under 350 quid 4 years ago and it's what I'm typing on right now.
