I have no beef with Vickery. He's a classy, very funny guy, who does an extraordinary job with aplomb and more than a touch of genius.

I do view football in a different way to how he does though. By which I mean: psychology more than anything. The reason why Uruguay always, always, always leave everything to the last minute in football (5th at the last four eliminatorias; and knowing them, they'll probably come 5th yet again next time) is because Uruguayans do the exact same thing in life. And no football team anywhere is more dependent on its emotional state of mind in any given situation than Uruguay.

Right, that's enough. You can all watch out for that in the next World Cup qualifiers and beyond. Cheerio. :)
