I don;t have a problem with offering Scotland and Wales devolved powers on certain issues
I also don't have a problem with the Scottish people voting for the SNP in this election or indeed their interests being represented by SNP MP's at Westminster.
What i have a problem with is the way England was excluded from the devolution process, presumably because at the time the Labour party did not foresee their fall from grace in Scotland and because they knew full well that in an equivalent English Parliament Labour would most likely not be the biggest party. All blatant self-protectionism as was, a cynic might think, the policy of allowing mass migration which labour knew full well (and I think have admitted) would only work in their favour in terms of voter demographics in future elections - as is being illustrated in London at this election.
To be honest, i think the best solution on "devolution" would have been not to have Scottish and Welsh Parliaments at all but to have sub-chambers of the UK Parliament consisting of the MP's from each nation only voting on the relevant issues for those nations and the main Parliament voting on UK wide issues. Would no doubt have saved a huge amount of cash as well. Scottish constituencies should not need a Scottish MP and a Westminster MP.
