do Longleat

the adventure park bit is a bit crap but there some useful kid things (the Postman Pat village was in urgent need of a lick of paint and some maintenance when we were there)

You could base yourself in Bath for the weekend and do Longleat as day trips, or stay in the Centre Parcs that is there.

Bath has plenty of expensive antique shops, and a fair few soft play centres.
