It seems that the late mid to late-nineties

you had to have at least 90pts to get promoted in the top two. The totals in recent years have been significantly lower....some huge gaps between 2nd and 3rd. We won't see that this season though. I think 88pts and a good GD will be enough...but having looked at those tables over the years we may well need 90 from this position which means we can only afford lose 2 and draw 1 of the last few games.
