Anyway my point really is that if that's what he thinks then why should he not be able to say it.

Different point to whether he's wise to say it but just because you play professional sport should that bar you from holding or expressing personal views in subjects?

Least we all know where we stand. better than people supporting him under the false impression that he is a Unionist.
