This is why labour never like the constiuency boundaries being re-drawn....

its a fact that statistically it takes several thousand less votes to elect each Labour MP to Westminster, compared to a Tory.

Generally speaking the smaller more urban constituencies with a smaller electorate vote Labour, whereas the larger more rural ones vote Tory. So in some ways, PR would make it more difficult for Labour and easier for the Tories.
