That as a club we need an idea that goes from the first team through to the 10 year olds coming through.
The manager you employ should embody that ethos and fit into it. Yes the tactics and changes to the team will be down to the manager but you want a style if play that you can evolve and that the whole club gets.
What we had was "we've got this far and oh I didn't expect us too" "what do you think Chris?" We had run out of ideas and had no plan how to manage an established premier league team. We then just made it up. Hence the bodge job with players that just didn't fit.
That is the board also, they didn't lack ambition or loyalty.. But maybe they lacked some football knowledge in the boardroom... The "hang on Chris ... That sounds like a s**t idea" bit
