it seems the plan this season was to transition from a defensive style to a more attacking style. Along a big with the signings not working, I think injuries were also a bit factor.

We generally looked a much better side playing three central midfielders (Tettey, Fer and Howson) - but were hardly able to do this until the end of the season when Fer was burnt out and confidence was low all around. Should really have signed a couple of more central midfielders if that was the preferred formation.
