you're playing roulette every year - if a few signings don't work out or yet get a rash of key injuries then it's your turn. Fulham, Sunderland, baggies ertc have had longer to build tha us , and more resources than us and could EASILY have gone down this year (one did).

Doesn't alter the fact that its a bugger its happened this year but getting out of the 'perennial struggler' role in the Prem is almost impossible without billionaire ownership backing (and sometimes even with).
