Tacking and possession are not the same.

Noone has a tackling based philosophy (well perhaps the old Wimbledon did but that's another story).

You can't decide to out possess a good possession team because they won't let you! You really think a team can turn up at the Nou Camp and decide to have more of the ball than Barca?

What you can do is take better care of the possession that you do have and try and use it to hurt them. Everyone agrees that we were bloody awful at that on Saturday. So possession does matter but not simply having more of it.
