Ricky has started just 8 games
in his first 10 games of our Championship season Holt scored just twice, and there was some suggestion that he couldn't really cut it at that level.
And in what way am I 'having a go' at Holt??? By suggesting that other players could have scored 8 goals in 34 appearances.
Holt did absolutely fantastically for us - a club legend - but with his age and fitess he didn't look anything particularly special or irreplaceable last season (which isn't anywhere near the same as being bad - everyting in football doesn't have to be brilliant or terrible).
