Not that I do any kind of hob nobing like that there Mick Dennis but I reckon Lambert, being ambitious and driven, knew it would be much much harder to keep us up that 2nd season, and it was a risk to stay.
Having said that, I don't reckon he would of have left us if Villa or whoever wanted him.
Like I said, my take.
