... and I do think Safri is a very useful central midfielder (admittedly quite injury-prone and has international commitments). With a decent attacking midfielder (in the Francis mould) alongside him, we'd have a very capable pairing.

Drury again is a good-enough left-back. And Huckerby is proven to be very, very accomplished at this level - but he can't do much is he is the ONLY attacking threat from midfield, because it's too easy for the opposition to just stick 2 or 3 men on him.
