The problem is strength in depth. The squad clearly needs plenty of new players, and we don't have enough money. But if a new manager was shrewd enough to realise where the gaps are (and let's face it, it's screamingly obvious) and is able to plug them cheaply and intelligently (i.e. by looking abroad) there's no reason why we can't be a decent side.

Oh, and I hope that a new manager would shift Thorne, Brennan, Hughes and Jarrett, too.
