they may be better off going for the lesser offence.
That said, one would hope that by June they will sort themselves out and get some meaningful forensic evidence. I feel that is the key to the whole thing. It should be possible to prove whether he had his legs on when he shot from the angle of the bullet going through the door and into the body. If it shows he had his blades on then he will be screwed. if not then maybe, just maybe he is telling the truth and thought it was an intruder. Still don;t think a reasonable person would shoot them 4 times through a toilet door but then I don't live in SA!
This whole 3 day "mini trial" bail hearing is a bit of a farce. In June there will be proper evidence and I suspect the police/prosecution will not be so utterly incompetent.
