the only way standing areas will become viable is if they are an attractive option for the club. "for the club mcnally, for the club!" (you need to have seen the movie "max" to get that reference, sorry).

anyway, what i'm saying is that there's not a considerable financial benefit in trading seats for standing spaces really unless the team benefit from a greater atmosphere that is more intimidating for the away team/more inspiring for the home team. and this would be cancelled out because everyone would be doing the same thing anyway. except ipswich. as they haven't got any f**king fans.
