Because one if saying he's not going to break his contract and walk whereas his quotes from yesterday could be interpreted as saying he might walk away if he doesn't feel he can achieve any more at Norwich.

I agree that ultimately whatever he says it doesn;t provide any guarantees and to a degree yes whatever he said could be twisted and interpreted in different ways. I just hope that yesterday's quotes were just a bit of typical Lambo rambling and him as usual trying to avoid giving any cast iron guarantees or alternatively him trying to get more budget out of Mcnally. I must confess though that having heard about him apparently wishing everyone "good luck" at the end of his speech on the pitch I get the general vibe his departure is more likely than unlikely.
