So the only reason I think this is interesting is because

we're all vaguely aware that a team last season had a similar first half of the season to us, but still ended up giong down. So I wondered exactly when things went wrong for them, and how badly.

And the answers were: right now (starting at West Brom away!); and very badly - 11 points from 18 matches badly.

For what it's worth, I think if we repeated their form from the last 18 games, we'd probably go down, too (on 36 points).

Obviously no reason to expect that to happen. But it is a benchmark, of sorts.
