just be very careful - whilst i appreciate he is your

mate and rightly you want the best for him - as steve says he has to change himself and sadly you and your mates have to have cut off point from him - if he spirals down to far he will start to lean on you for money etc and in some cases plead with you trying the old guilt trip and possibly nicking off you - harsh i know but there maybe a time when you have to walk away.
