Signs players he knows well and trusts and stays with a target once he's identified them.

It is so much more refreshing than previous managers who had a plan a but nothing if they couldn't get that player (Worthy chasing Steve Howard, Roeder chasing the Norwegian who's name's escaped me) and then having to rely on loans well into September. Let's not forget Huckerby was signed by luck rather than judgement. I recall us losing out on no end of players that summer including Gareth f**king Taylor!
