I think everyone agrees with that fundamental truth, however elegantly or inelegantly it is phrased.

His uselessness is as much the responsibility of those that appointed him... but it doesn't mean he isn't f**king useless.

What if Chelsea had won the Champions League? He would still have been sacked and simply filed in history alongside those other managerial curiosities who benefitted from the talents of their predecessor to win the European Cup for an English side: Tony Barton at Villa and Joe Fagan at Liverpool.
