I don't think you want an iPad as that's essentially a device for consuming content

rather than creating it. So you'd be looking at a Windows notebook or MacBook although you'd probably need a dongle for 3G.

I'd go Mac personally although there are cheapo notebooks out there; but they're cheap for a reason (ie. cheap, s**t components)

Note that MacBook Pros have just been updated and MacBooks are due to be updated very soon. Note too that Apple is removing CD/DVD drives (already gone on the MB Pro & Air)
