So, despite...

- knowing our recent record in the competition
- knowing we were up against an established Premier League side
- knowing our recent record in ANY cup competition against a team in a higher league
- knowing last year we were a League 1 side
- knowing that Lambert had intimated that he would be playing fringe players
- knowing that our chance of doing anything were remote
- knowing that the match v Forest on Saturday is far more important, long term, than last night
- knowing from bitter experience the increased likelihood of picking up injuries to key players by playing a full 11 in a meaningless cup competition we aren't going to win
- knowing it was a 500 mile round trip...

...you still went there expecting us to compete on a level playing field and challenge?

It's a shame the signs weren't there to warn you, in my opinion.
