on penalties just after O'Neill left around 1995 was our best effort, although i'm sure we must've forgotten some storming cup run cos surely no club as big as Norwich City would start every season for a decade and a half thinking we won't try in two competitions, instead we're going to put all our eggs into one basket. But if that is what we've been doing then the evidence suggests that it hasn't worked, the past 15 years have seen the poorest league positions for half a century too. Success breeds success.
