Previous managers have nearly always played full strength sides (injuries, suspensions, etc. allowing) and clearly demonstrated they do want a cup run. Even last night a couple of changes were forced on Lambert and to be honest I thought it refreshing that he rested a couple of other players and gave a few fringe players a game.

Personally I don't care about either cup. The League Cup is a waste of time these days and the FA cup was devalued long ago by the attitude of the big clubs (and the FA who allowed Man U to skip the third round in a cynical attempt to get the 2010 WC)
