I think they're boring.

Their style is as much about defensiveness and effectiveness, and is football for the absolute purist. It's very clinical, and I think that a lot of the pundits' praise for them is based on a perception that liking Spain's style of play reflects positively on them in some way. Last night Shearer said "I love watching them play. They grind teams down." You know that's not his kind of football, and what's more I don't enjoy watching teams being "ground down". That's why watching Liverpool play in the 80s was such a soul-destroying experience. I don't feel quite the same way about Spain, but all this "it's good for football" bollocks is going over the top.
