when mine turned up it was missing a bolt in an important area....

but it had another bolt right next to it so i thought "f**k it" and fixed it together, jumped up and down on it a few times to check as you do.

.....to cut this riverting story short 3 months later it's still standing so I reckon based on this experience you should fix it wthout the glue.
