as long.....
as decent wood screws are used and the joints are supportative, then i wouldnt bother with glue....
had the same with a futon for the conservatory - turns in a double bed..... instructions told me to glue it together before using wood screws, didnt want to in case i wanted to take it apart to store it...... used it mostly for sitting on but also for use as a guest bed plenty of times over 10 years and never had any probs!
